Canvas Prints are art gallery wrapped  with original paintings by Jackie Medow-Jacobson exclusively. 

THE PAINTING PROCESS

Realistic paintings children is very colorful.

Each brushstroke and area of color is painted over and over until it really becomes a contemporary masterpiece. 

VanGogh colors and David Hockney’s many styles of painting, have been the inspiration for this style of my painting.

I am classically trained as a portrait painter, so all of my paintings are considered portraits. 

Your photos is cropped to get the best possible portrait of your childs personality. 

All of the paintings are square in dimension and are painted on the background color of your choice.

My preference for expressive child painting, is to paint one child per canvas.

I believe I really capture the personality of your special child with just one child to a canvas.

When people see the finished painting, they gasp with excitement.

The original artwork from your photo is a digital hand painting. Each stroke is painted by hand using a pen and a 27″ art tablet. Completed painting is then printed on canvas (called a giclee print.)

There is no automation used to paint your piece of art. All brushstrokes are painted by the hand of Jackie Medow-Jacobson exclusively.

The advantage of a digital painting is the ability to make multiple prints for you and other custom items from the finished painting.  The file is saved and years later more custom items can be ordered, ie…ceramic drink coasters, ceramic trivets, and more

THE STRETCHED CANVAS

The canvas is mounted on 1-1/4″ deep wood stretcher bars. The painting wraps around the sides of the bars (called gallery wrap) and is ready to hang. It is hand signed Jacobson on the front and back side. I sign the back with the child’s name, age, and year it is painted.

 

HOW TO ORDER

STEP ONE – ORDERING

1. Select your portrait size
2. Add personalization (Child’s  Name and age in photo, Background color # from colors)
3. Add to cart and complete your purchase.

STEP TWO – SEND PHOTO

1. Send your photo via email to… jackie@jackiejacobson.com
Note: Make sure your photo is in focus, has good lighting, and is high resolution (taken directly from phone or camera). Focus on the eyes. The person is facing forward in the best photo reference.
Email photos then…phone to confirm that I received your photo 760-831-1190
I will notify you of your scheduled completion date.

STEP THREE – PORTRAIT CREATION

1. In 3-4 weeks (typically), I will send you a proof to review and approve.
2. When you approve, your canvas will be printed and shipped.

STEP FOUR – SHIP YOUR PORTRAIT

1. All orders are shipped via USPS –

2. I will message you with Arrival Date and Tracking Number, the day of shipping

STEP FIVE – RECEIVE YOUR PORTRAIT

1. Unwrap and hang your Masterpiece
2. Order any additional items or prints from Extra Section

After approval, allow at least  5 to 7 business days for your item to be printed and packed.

After that all items are shipped by USPS Priority.

USPS is our shipper of choice.

If PO Box is your preference Fedex will not ship to boxes.

USPS is our shipper of choice for speedy service.
