THE PAINTING PROCESS by Jackie Jacobson
The children paintings come in two styles of your choice. You can choose from a photo realistic or an expressive color filled portrait.
I am a portrait painter, so all of my paintings, whether they are flowers, still life objects or people are closeup portraits. In addition, I use your photos but crop the picture to get the best possible portrait of your child’s personality. All of the paintings are square in dimension and I paint on the background color of your choice.
Firstly, it is my preference for children paintings, to paint one child per canvas. Secondly, I believe I can really capture the personality of your special child with just one child to a canvas. Thirdly, people gasp with excitement when they see the painting.

ABOUT THE PAINTING
The original artwork is a digital hand painting. Jackie paints each stroke by hand using a pen and a 27″ art tablet. The completed artwork is on canvas (called a giclee print.) Jackie never has an assistant painting on your painting.
The advantage of a digital painting is the ability to make multiple prints. The file is saved and years later more custom items can be ordered, ie…ceramic drink coasters, ceramic trivets, and more
THE STRETCHED CANVAS
The canvas is mounted on 1-1/4″ deep wood stretcher bars. The painting wraps around the sides of the bars (called gallery wrap) and is ready to hang. I hand signed Jacobson on the front and back side. In addition, I sign the back of the canvas with the child’s name, age, and the year it was painted.
