For this series, I am using the idea behind the popular Bravo TV Series – Inside the Actors Studio. I want you to meet my artist friends and mentors, and to get an up-close and personal view of them, their art and what has inspired me.

What attracted me to Mindy’s Art

Mindy and I were in a recent online 4 week Blog Triage Class with Alyson Stanfield.  When the class ended we decided to continue being blog buddies. We share ideas and thoughts by phone weekly. Mindy’s love of nature and all that it offers, is definitely aligned with mine. What I find incredible and most inspiring is her skill, her passion and her sense of play. Since our days (Al’s and mine) of bromeliad collecting, our dream has been to go to Costa Rica and be up close and personal with all that it offers. Mindy has helped us achieve that through her artwork and website. How can anyone not be inspired by someone whose favorite color is… VIOLET.

FROM MINDY:  “My passion for nature was established at a young age. I was always digging in the dirt and drawing pictures of what I found. I learned to express my passion through my art.  I see the world around me the same way I did as a kid…. full of wonder and inspiration. A moment of awe and revelation is what I capture on paper.”

 8.     What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?  Be a Mermaid

 9.     What profession would you not like to do?  President of the United States

10.    If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?  WELCOME
