Summer Vacation Wrap-Up

Summer is almost over for me. This Saturday I return to exhibiting at the COD Street Fair. It has been a wonderful seven week vacation.

What I’ve completed of my plans for this summer.

  1. 7 days of vacation, visiting friends and family.
  2.  
  3. Setup a new wet studio, separate of my digital studio.
  4.  
  5. Combined my website with my blog, and became my own webmaster. (Still learning J)
  6.  
  7. Painted 9 new images, The Still Life Suite.
  8.  
  9. Commissioned portrait of 2 athletes.
  10.  
  11. Started www.IPaintPaws.com focusing on dog and cat paintings.
  12.  
  13. Painted 3 Dogs, about 10 versions in the Andy Warhol/Pop Art style.
  14.  
  15. Showing my artwork at a new online marketplace http://www.fineartamerican.com
  16.  
  17. Setup a new computer system.
  18.  
  19. Setup a new direct mail marketing system .
  20.  
  21. Created 5 new postcards and brochures to use as handouts and mailers.
  22.  
  23. Posted daily to Twitter, facebook, and my blog.
  24.  
  25. On August 19, started  a 4 week online blogging class, with 3 sessions per week
  26.  
  27. New physician and 3 visits for wellness.
  28.  
  29. To the swimming pool almost daily for 45 minutes to an hour, and a great suntan.

These are past due on my TO DO LIST.  

To paint 3 more dog portraits and 2 cat portraits.

To complete an unfinished newsletter.

To finish all the unread stories in Vanity Fair.

AND THE REST IS BORING…THERE’S MUCH MORE.

What did I learn on this summer vacation?

                I over plan and under play !

There are 5 days left. I will include play in every one of those days.
