What Camera do I use?
I’m asked constantly, what kind of camera do I use. And I explain, it doesn’t make any difference, because I use my photos as reference for my paintings. But…here it is

and I use it with a Nikon 70-300 Telephoto lense. I also have a Nikon D200 that I use with a Tamron 17-50 wide angle lense. I just press the button on the top, and take the picture. In other words…I wasn’t a photographer. It’s true I have a good eye for composition so out of 100 pictures, I may have gotten 2 good ones.
Where Do I Get My Help?
About a year ago, I was wandering around Huntington Gardens, here in California, and I saw a photographer using a different kind of tripod. Being curious, I approached him an asked what it was. It is a mono-pod, that has three little feet coming out of the bottom. A simple device, and a whole lot easier for me to lug around, than carrying my heavy duty tripod.
So this nice photographer said he’d send me all the info on where to buy etc. When I got home, there was an email from Carl. We’ve become wonderful friends, and he really is a photography expert (besides being a wonderful creative photo artist.) And now I actually can do more than just press the top button.
