“Orchid Phael“
painting by California artist Jackie Jacobson transformed into a beautiful ceramic tile coaster. This White Phalaenopsis Orchid known as “Moon Orchid” is very long lasting, making it a perfect model for a portrait painting. It is commonly referred to as the “moth orchid.” The close-up orchid flower portrait will bloom all year without fading.
Inkjet sublimation is the process used to decorate the ceramic tile, using The Tile Master™ heat press. Epson Inkjet printers and sublimation inks print the transfers used to sublimate the tiles with unique artwork by Jackie Jacobson. The one absolute requirement of this process is that the tiles must have a polymer coating on them. When a tile is decorated using the sublimation process the image is transferred into the polymer coating and actually becomes a part of it.
