It time for a little fun!

The Calgary Zoo uploaded this video on Sunday June 17

The video shows Zola having pure fun with an enrichment opportunity during Spotlight on Gorillas and is not a trained behavior.

The music was added afterward.

Zola, nine-years old, is one of eight Western lowland gorillas currently living at the Calgary Zoo as part of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Gorilla Species Survival Plan.

He loves to play in water and keepers regularly give him the opportunity to do so as part of the enrichment activities they plan and vary on a daily basis.

Are You Wondering Why I’m Focusing on the Calgary Zoo?

You’re right, it’s not near my home.

But it’s very close to my heart.

About 40% of my art collectors live in Calgary.

I’d love to go there, but haven’t been able to.

And now I’ve met Zola.

I’ve always loved Gorillas. They remind me of my Uncle Charlie. I loved him too.

So…it just may be that  a trip to Calgary is in my future.

Until then. Enjoy this journey through their wonderful zoo.

And if you happen to be in their neighborhood, stop by.

A big Thank You to the Calgary Zoo for this entertaining and informative display.
And thanks Zola
